The University of Rare Coin (URC) is an online educational platform that was created in 2010, by Karl Newman, Numismatic Researcher and Curriculum Developer.
URC is the industry's first and only online Numismatic University, that is built on a sophisticated software platform, known as a Learning Management System (LMS), that manages the training, testing, and tracking online... 24/7/365, anywhere, anytime, with an Internet connection.
Extensive research conducted from the Library of Congress, National Archives, and hundreds of numismatic resources, brings to light, little known numismatic history and facts, with rare photos and illustrations, bringing learning alive.
When first introduced at the 2011 American Numismatic Association (ANA) National Money Show in Chicago, the top Industry leaders and legends were amazed at what URC created for the Numismatic Industry. In 2013 the PNG (Professional Numismatists Guild) choose URC for its vocational training program, "Promoting Numismatic Growth."
Since then URC has continued to grow to bring the finest level of online interactive education to the public, delivering Knowledge Now, for what you need to know, when you need to know it.
